Established in memory of Ward B. Miller ’76, this scholarship is awarded to first-year African American students at the College who demonstrate leadership and a dedication to community service.
Ward Miller was a proud graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Political Science and a founding member of the Eta Iota Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Throughout his long and distinguished banking career, Ward tirelessly volunteered with many non-profits in his Winston-Salem community. His work focused on the growth and development of people, building strong communities, and taking action to address the needs of others. Ward was a true Servant Leader who demonstrated what it means to serve others first and, through it all, allowed God to be the author of his life!
