David and Claudia Cohen
In this digital age, the library’s role as the gateway to learning is ever evolving. Whether students choose computer kiosks or study carrels, there is one certainty: the library will always be the lifeblood of information discovery and scholarship on campus.
“We want to ensure the library remains at the intersection of instruction and scholarship.”
— David Cohen
As dean of libraries for 30 years, David Cohen has witnessed the evolution of the library’s critical role in a liberal arts and sciences education. To perpetuate the library’s value in scholarship, David and his wife, Claudia, have created a gift through their estate. Their bequest will be used to purchase archival materials in European studies. Generations of students and faculty will benefit from the Cohens’ legacy of enhancing the intellectual vitality of our community through the library.
