Jan Gambardella: Campus Leader
A life defined by the Student Alumni Association
“Over the last three years, I have pursued a business administration major with focus in marketing. I guess I got that from my dad. He used to take me to board meetings when I was four. I knew from a very young age I wanted to be in business. The professors in the business school have been exceptional – they know my strengths and weaknesses and have helped me improve my study habits.
They challenged me and empowered me to go above and beyond.
The greatest influences have been SAA and my Alumni advisors, Ryan Small, ’01 and Barney Holt, ’74. They have been my sounding board and empowered me to make sound decisions about my career - they encouraged me to apply to be a Schottland scholar. I was accepted this summer. I am one of only four seniors in the program and I have been paired with a business mentor in the Charleston community for my senior year. Today, I can call myself a leader and am ready for today’s business world.” - Jan Gambardella
